The importance of good photos…
April 10, 2007
Regardless of what business you are in, good photos can make or break you. Whether you are an actor in need of great headshots or a company selling accessories for iPods – your photos project an image to your potential customers.
An unprofessional or bad photo can hurt your business, taking away from all of the effort you have put into it. Your “customers” obviously are not seeing your product in the best light but they also infer that you do not take your business seriously. They assume that you are not willing to put in the effort it takes to research and pay for good pictures. Then why should they hire you or buy your product?
Remember, most of the time your photos are going to get to your potential customers well before you do. Whether on a website or in a mailing, that picture is going to be the first impression they get – and it’s always important to make a good impression right?
That doesn’t mean you have to spend a fortune on pictures. It just means that you have to be careful about budgeting for and choosing a photographer. Your images are important to you and your business. Take them seriously. They will be one of the biggest investments you make.
